Renting a house in a [relatively] poor country?
I was watching Prison Break - Sucre and Lincoln pay a landlord $100 USD a month to rent a house in Panama, OK rural house with some land, beutiful. I have about $10,000 USD saved up...can you really rent for so cheap in places like Panama?
When you look online, even houses in poor countries are only a bit cheaper than London to rent and mostly more expensive than poor areas of Manchester (north-west England). I was paying £225 ($450) in Manchester a month with all bills. I cannot find anywhere than cheap in europe, even in Poland or the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia).
Is this because foreign landowners think all people from the UK are super-rich and can afford to pay London pices, and all normal deals are only available to locals with local agents, or is Manchester cheaper than eastern Europe these days!!!!?
